Official registers
Choose the right official register,
by money type
Use the filters to narrow the government and regulator searches we have checked. The notes explain what each register covers and what to prepare before you leave this site.
Start with the register that matches the money
There is no single Australian search covering every kind of lost money. State registers, the ATO, ASIC, Fair Work, AFSA and rental bond authorities each hold different records. If you are unsure, build a Search Plan first rather than opening every link.
Build my Search PlanHow this list is checked
We open each official agency page during review, confirm what the register covers and remove links that no longer reach the responsible agency. We do not list commercial recovery services.
